Odorless and Tasteless Fish Oil to Hit Market
03 Oct 2016 --- Bioriginal has introduced a fish oil omega-3 that can be incorporated into foods, beverages and other delivery systems without changing the taste or flavor profile of the product.
Bioriginal’s new product, OmegaPure, is the latest in the trending omega 3 category to hit the market.
“Today, people are increasingly looking to get maximum nutrition from their food,” said Joe Vidal, Bioriginal President.
Due to the marine-based omega 3’s lack of fishy taste and odor, it can be used in a range of food and drink products, something that in the past, manufacturers have been unable to successfully do.
“We see OmegaPure fish oil being used in a variety of product applications from condiments and bars to baked goods and beverages and our initial feedback is that it’s the best marine-based omega on the market,” said Vidal.
Bioriginal claim its innovative processing method used to make OmegaPure has solved the taste and scent issue surrounding marine based omega 3, and Vidal said the Bioriginal team has helped manufacturers successfully incorporate OmegaPure into both new and existing formulations.
The company also claims that OmegaPure offers the advantages of a clean label and vertical integration that allows for monitoring and control every step of the way to ensure product integrity, consistent quality and traceability.
“OmegaPure is fully traceable from boat to bottle,” Vidal said. “It comes to us from our own fishery, one that that has a rich history dating back more than a century.”
OmegaPure will be introduced at Supply Side West on October 6 & 7.
